Polestar E-motorcycle Concept Wows

THIS POLESTAR ELECTRIC BIKE IS A PERFECT AMALGAM OF LOOKS, POWER AND ERGONOMIC COMFORT

Yes, the Polestar CP1 electric motorcycle concept is just an “unofficial” art project – but that doesn’t make it any less incredible!

Polestar is going from strength to strength these days, posting profits in just its second year, building its 100,000th 2 electric sports sedan, and getting set to launch its first-ever mainstream SUVs this coming year, the compant is approaching real mass appeal. What’s more, the Swedish performance brand has already made an initial forayed into the two-wheeler market with a (sold out) top-shelf mountain bike and an association with Swedish e-bike brand, CAKE … so the idea of a Polestar-branded motorcycle may not be as crazy as it seems at first glance.

That’s the thinking behind Lukasw Wenzhöfer’s Polestar CP1 electric motorcycle concept, anyway, which combines Polestar styling cues – like the split four-spoke wheels, “Thor’s Hammer” LED headlights, and material choices that wouldn’t seem out of place on the original Polestar 1 hybrid supercar.

It’s a well thought-out design, too. “The focus of this design is on ergonomics and functionality,” writes Yanko Design’s Gaurav Sood, a transportation design expert. “So, those good looks are not merely for the eye candy factor, but rather for a defined shape that makes complete practical sense.”

You can check out the design for yourself, below, then let us know what you think of the CP1 for yourself in the comments section at the bottom of the page.

  1. Ergonomics is NOT its best. Hands are lower than the seat wich causes a unconfortable position to drive. 1 hour in it must be horrible. The cars seem good but this bike is naif. As if draw by a teenager.

    1. I mean, there are plenty of sport bikes with clip-on bars. Saying it’s uncomfortable in the context of an hour of riding is like saying a GoldWing looks slow because it’s too heavy.

      1. Spot on 😂great analogy 👌it depends what type of riding the bike is aimed at, which in this case looks like a sports/track orientation 😉

  2. Interesting, proportions look good, square edges don’t usually make good streamlining but an f117 still flys…
