Dealership people know how difficult it is to step away from the show floor or service drive (even for a good cause). The leads don't stop, and the customers don't go away. And yet... I'm BLOWN AWAY by the time, energy, and commitment I saw hundreds of Walser Automotive Group employees make last week for our inaugural Week of Giving. 💙 GMs, service managers, parts managers, VPs, salespeople, technicians, advisors, directors, our CEO, and so many more found time to give back to our community in a fun and cool way. Six months ago, I awoke at 2AM to multiple people kicking in my front door. It was one of the scariest experiences of my life. We never caught the 3-5 people who tried to break in and burgle us, but the situation was made better by the fact that my local police department responded immediately. Within two minutes of the call, officers were in my home, clearing the premises and doing the work they do every day to keep citizens like myself safe. I’m crushed knowing the families of these officers and first responder have forever lost their protectors. As Chief O’Hara said, there are real heroes among us and they are the people who show up when you call. They are the people who put their lives on the line, day in and day out, when so many of us will not. Keep our civil servants close to your heart and remember these men who made this sacrifice tonight.
