  • Vegetables: You’ll need a pound of husked tomatillos, a chopped onion, and a chopped serrano pepper.

  • Herbs: Add fresh color and flavor with cilantro and oregano.
  • Seasonings: Season the tomatillo salsa with salt and cumin.
  • Water: Boil the ingredients in two cups of water.

“Delicious,” raves Karen Jobb. “Could not stop eating out of the blender. Roasted the tomatillos on a BBQ grill while cooking chicken. Added two roasted jalapeños for a little more kick. This will be in regular rotation for sure.”

“Loved the recipe,” says Alexsandra Solvin. “Here’s what I did differently: I roasted all the veggies and added extra cilantro. Made 15 pints. Will definitely use this recipe again next year!”

“Delicious,” according to cambridge219. “I blended the ingredients before I cooked them as others suggested and it was wonderful. I put it on pork chops, chicken and used it as a dip. So easy to make.”
