Step-by-step instructions:

How to make a sausage head

We admit it! Sculpting a head using classic charcuterie sounds mad. But trust us, it’s worth the effort and your guests will be truly impressed.

Obviously, our meat monster is not a sight for sore eyes – or for vegetarians, for that matter. But a heads up from here! A vegan sausage version is a spine-chilling alternative.

The snack will take you roughly 45 minutes to make.

The small eyeball snacks on the side you can make it no time.

Bone appetite!

This is what you need

The sausage head
– Foam mannequin head
– Tin foil
– Wooden toothpicks
– Small sausages
– 1 pimiento-stuffed olive, cut in half
– Round mini cheese, halved

Eyeball snacks
– Thin-sliced prosciutto
– Mozzarella balls
– Olives stuffed with red peppers

How to create the sausage head

1: Place the foam head on a tray and cover it with tin foil.

2: Secure each sausage with a wooden toothpick and arrange them around the head.

Tip: Slice the sausages lengthwise to minimise the amount.

3: Put the two cheese halves on wooden picks and place them in the foam head to resemble eyeballs. Now, place a halved olive over each cheese to resemble pupils.

How to create the eyeball snacks

1: Wrap a strip of prosciutto around each mozzarella ball.

2: Slice off the top of the olive so that the pimiento shows and place it on top of the mozzarella.
